Remove effects

# Java
/effect clear @p
/effect clear @p minecraft:poison
# Bedrock
/effect @p clear

The first Java line removes everything; the second only Poison.

Level limits

The amplifier goes up to 255, but very high values can backfire. Extreme Jump Boost causes heavy fall damage on landing. Resistance at amplifier 4 (level V) blocks almost all damage.

Several effects at once

/effect adds one effect per command. Stack several lines, or build them in the effect command generator. To hand out a potion instead, see give potion.
