Why /home does not work

/home, /sethome and /spawn are added by plugins, most often EssentialsX on Paper or Spigot servers. Single player worlds, Realms and servers without plugins do not have them.

Option 1: save your coordinates and /tp back

/tp @s 120 64 -340

Stand at your base, note the coordinates, and teleport there when you want to go back. See how to show coordinates. You need cheats on or operator rights. From the Nether or the End, name the dimension too (Java):

/execute in minecraft:overworld run tp @s 120 64 -340

Option 2: respawn at your base

/spawnpoint @s

Run it at your base to make it your respawn point, just like sleeping in a bed. See the spawnpoint guide.

Option 3: a warp anyone can use (Java)

On a server, /trigger lets players without operator rights start a teleport.

# once
/scoreboard objectives add home trigger
# three Always Active blocks: one Repeat, then two Chain
/scoreboard players enable @a home
/execute as @a[scores={home=1..}] run tp @s 120 64 -340
/scoreboard players set @a[scores={home=1..}] home 0

Players type /trigger home and arrive at the set point. Everyone shares the same destination, so it works best as a "back to base" or "lobby" button. The trigger guide explains how it works.

Option 4: a server plugin (/sethome and /home)

For a personal home per player, a plugin is the practical choice. With EssentialsX:

CommandWhat it does
/sethome nameSaves where you stand as a home
/home nameTeleports you to that home
/delhome nameDeletes the home

Plugins run on servers such as Paper or Spigot, and the number of homes each player gets is set by the plugin's permissions. Read the plugin's own instructions and back up the server first.

Bedrock Edition

Bedrock has no /home either. Options 1 and 2 work there. Bedrock has /scoreboard but no /trigger, so option 3 does not work as written.
