- Optionally add facing data and test at a safe location.
Common mistakes
- Teleporting inside solid blocks.
- Misspelling a player name.
- Confusing execute position with relative TP coordinates.
Edition and version notes
Java supports additional facing forms. Bedrock syntax differs in some cases, so select the correct edition.
Understand the coordinate reference
/tp @p 100 64 -20 targets a fixed location. /tp @p ~ ~3 ~ moves three blocks upward relative to the command source position; be aware that command blocks and players use different origins. Coordinates beginning with ^ are local to the command’s rotation and should not be confused with the ~ form.
Before teleporting a group of players, try one destination with @p in an unobstructed test area. Check the destination’s dimension and safety. The generator assembles syntax but cannot assess terrain or whether the destination is dangerous.
